TAIPEI -- Taiwan's third-largest political party, which has gained support among young voters by promising clean politics, is now embroiled in scandals suggesting financial improprieties.

The Taiwan People's Party, formed in 2019 by Ko Wen-je, the former surgeon-turned-mayor of Taipei, is facing plunging public support.
