HAMAMATSU, Japan -- After a brief retirement, Suzuki Motor has returned to motorcycle racing with an aim of accelerating development of carbon neutral technologies and applying them in automobiles and outboard motors for boats.

"Your performance was too perfect," President Toshihiro Suzuki told the team's riders after they came in eighth in the Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race in Mie prefecture as the sun set on a scorching hot July 21.
