Papua New Guinea's census process is a quagmire of epic proportions

International donors must pressure government to be transparent

The national census in Papua New Guinea is the first full reckoning of national statistics since 2011. But 13 years to prepare has not resulted in solid execution, with the current tally bogged down in corruption allegations, disorganization and violence.
