ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan's army has arrested the former chief of the country's spy agency, Faiz Hameed, in an unprecedented move seen as a warning to jailed ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Hameed, a retired army Lieutenant General who headed the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) from 2019 to 2021, was taken into custody on Monday to face a military court martial. The charges are linked to a property case and for allegedly engaging in banned political activities after his retirement, the army said.
