SEOUL -- Passenger rail service connecting Russia's Far East and a North Korean port city is expected to resume this month after a pandemic-induced hiatus, giving Pyongyang a much-needed source of hard currency.
Direct passenger train service between Vladivostok and Rason will restart in July, Gov. Oleg Kozhemyako of Primorsky Krai, a Russian coastal region that includes Vladivostok, was quoted as saying last month by Russian news agency Interfax.
