TOKYO -- Nepal's ambassador to Japan has called for companies in the Northeast Asian nation to boost investment in his home country, particularly in sectors such as tourism, health care and technology.

"You can find cheap ... [and] very reliable, hard-working labor [in Nepal]," Ambassador Durga Bahadur Subedi told Nikkei Asia on Wednesday, noting that Japanese businesses have typically invested less in his country than their European counterparts.
