TOKYO -- Japanese trading house Toyota Tsusho will develop and supply biofuels and green hydrogen with Indonesian state-run oil company Pertamina, part of efforts led by Tokyo to support decarbonization in Southeast Asia.

Toyota Tsusho plans to supply these renewable energy sources to the Patimban Port and industrial park projects in West Java, which are under construction with the aid of Japanese yen-denominated loans. So-called green hydrogen does not emit carbon during the manufacturing process.
