TOKYO -- A Japanese financial technology company that helped create Cambodia's digital currency will build the Pacific island nation of Palau's gateway to the bond market, Nikkei has learned.

Tokyo-based Soramitsu won the order last month and will seek to bring the system online on trial basis in fiscal 2024. A full roll-out could begin the following year.
