BEIJING/PHNOM PENH -- Wang Wenbin, a former Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson known for his combative rhetoric, has been chosen as the next ambassador to Cambodia.

Wang's new assignment was confirmed Tuesday by the China International Development Cooperation Agency, a body that handles foreign assistance, after a meeting with agency director Luo Zhaohui.
