SAO PAULO/BEIJING -- Argentine President Javier Milei has profoundly shifted the tone of his rhetoric on China since taking up his post last December, creating a buzz in diplomatic circles.

Before he came into office, Milei often drew attention with incendiary remarks reflecting his pro-U.S. and anti-China stance, once referring to the Asian nation as an "assassin."
