Apple sets new June quarter revenue record but China woes continue

PALO ALTO, California -- Apple reported a new revenue record for the April-June quarter on Thursday. But declining sales in China continued as the iPhone giant faced growing competition from such domestic handset makers as Huawei Technologies and Vivo.

The U.S. tech giant plans to step up its game in China with the launch of a new iPhone in September and said it is talking to regulators there to make the new AI features it is developing available "as fast as we can."
